The ‘Bhediya’ trailer promises good VFX and CGI
In the film, Varun Dhawan will be playing a werewolf while Kriti Sanon’s character is a doctor. The trailer shows Varun’s character wondering why he was bitten by a wolf, to which Kriti’s character responds by saying that he has been ‘chosen’ and he must use these powers with responsibilities.
The special powers include hearing low-pitch sounds and a preference for bad odour over fragrances. The trailer also shows Varun’s character’s transformation into a bhediya, which is quite a hair-raising moment, honestly. Towards the end of the trailer, it’s the ‘Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai’ jingle that hits right in the feels.
The almost three-minute-long trailer promises a solid entertainer with some great CGI. Yes, good CGI, finally!
This horror comedy is high on thrills and funny moments
Talking about the trailer, director Amar Kaushik said, “Our trailer gives a small taste of the enthralling adventure audiences are in for. Bhediya is crafted to be enjoyed in cinemas. It will fill you with a sense of awe and wonder, and tickle your funny bone with laughs galore. We are glad that it arrives in all its big screen glory soon”.
Bhediya is also the third instalment in producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe. It follows the 2018 film Stree starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, and the 2021 film Roohi, starring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma.
